Who Can Receive IVF Application?

IVF method is applied when a couple does not use contraception and though willing to have a baby, can not ceonceive for a period of 1-2 years.
  • Women with both tubes removed with an operation or women having obstructed tubes (previous ectopic pregnancy, tuberculosis etc.)
  • Women who can not conceive with simple treatments (women who have received drug therapy and insemination for 3-6 times). Various patients are included in this group. (For example undefined infertility, slight endometriosis, slight decrease in sperm count, polycystic ovary syndrome etc.).
  • Severe sperm disorder in man (count, decreased motility). In man having sperm count > 5 million/mL, Conventional IVF or ICSI, and in man having sperm count < 5 million/mL ICSI is applied.
  • In cases when the woman is over 40 and can not conceive.
  • Endometriosis (advances stage).
  • Women with widespread intraabdominal adhesions.

Test tube baby method can be applied for almost every reason leading to infertility. It can be performed rarely for some special cases.
