The most important causes of intrauterine adhesions are previous operations (termination of pregnancy by abortion or trying to remove tumoral structures such as polyps and myomas by curettage without being seen with a camera system) and infections. In both cases, the inner layer of the uterus may be damaged and adhesions may occur in all or part of the uterus walls. Uterine synechiae are among the pathologies that can cause infertility.
Treatment:
- Hysteroscopic release of adhesions
- Intrauterine device application for 1 month
- Balloon application
- Hormone therapy
