Who IVF Should be Applied to?

1- Problems related to tubes:

     The women whose both tubes have been taken through operation or whose tubes are blocked (ectopic pregnancy, infection, tuberculosis, etc.)

2- Problems related to Ovulation and Ovary:

     Ovulation problems such as Diminished Ovarian Reserve (DOR) or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

     Ovary Cysts (for example: Chocolate cyst)

3- Uterus Anomalies:

     Intra-uterine adhesions

     Formations such as myoma, polyps

     Curtain formations dividing uterus into two parts ( “T” or “Y” shaped uterus )

4- Endometriosis (advanced) is placement of endometrium cells making up inner tissue of uterus (womb) in the places outside this region.

5- Common intra-abdominal adhesions

6- Situations when the woman is over 40 ages and cannot become pregnant

7- In case of problems related to sperms in male

     Low amount of sperm (Oigozoospermia)

     No sperm cell in ejaculate (Azospermia)

     Low or no sperm motility (Astenozoospermia)

     Low rate of normal sperm shape and structure (morphology) (Teratozoospermia)

     Low amount of ejaculate

     Agglutination (adhesion of sperms to each other)

     Severe sperm pathologies (eg: Globozoospermia )

8- Genetic diseases in pairs (Turner, Klinefelter, Translocations, Thalassemia , Single gen diseases)

9- In case of inexplicable infertility

IVF method can be applied in case of nearly all of the problems leading to infertility. It may not be applied under special conditions.
