- The experience of the surgeon should be sufficient for the planned operation. If the surgeon does not have sufficient experience in laparoscopic surgery, the open technique should be used. The degree of difficulty of the operation should be in accordance with the experience and skills of the physicians who will perform the operation. Especially difficult operations such as removal of the uterus (hysterectomy) and removal of myoma (myomectomy) need to be performed by highly experienced teams.
- The presence of another health problem that prevents surgery (for example, severe heart disease)
- When performed by experienced teams, previous surgery or cesarean section does not constitute a contraindication for a laparoscopic operation.
